El Rancho Lodge is located in the historical mining town of Platoro, CO, elevation 9800' in the heart of the Rio Grande National Forest in the San Juan Wilderness of southern Colorado and fronts the beautiful Conejos River renowned for its trophy fly fishing. El Rancho consists of one large cabin featuring 3 bedrooms and a sleeping loft, large kitchen and dining area, huge great room with wonderful rock fireplace, 1 bath ,and a connected shop/storeroom. Also included is a duplex cabin with each side featuring a nice size living room, combination kitchen and dining area, 2 bedroom and one bath. In addition there are 6 separate cabins that were built in 1939. The current owners have chosen to use El Rancho as a personal hunting and fishing lodge for family and friends the past 20 years, but it could easily be brought back as a cabin rental business. Hunting seasons bring in a multitude of hunters. Summer and Fall activities abound with fishing and boating on the 6000 acre Platoro Reservoir, fishing Mix Lake and hundreds of miles of streams an high mountain lakes. Other activities include; hiking, mountain biking, and ATVing on the many mountain trails.
